Does the Antitrust Enforcement consider Amazon a Monopoly
There is an ongoing debate on if Amazon is a monopoly or not. Enforcing antitrust can regulate companies suspected of being monopolies. Because of its low prices, Amazon is not considered to be a monopoly and is a benefit to consumer welfare based on antitrust laws. Predatory pricing, the concept of a company prices a geed below cost to drive out competitors is closely tied to monopolies. Amazon displays this concept with its willingness to sustain sufficient losses. Because of this, many people believe that Amazon's business models are a threat to consumers. However, the government has difficulty following through with these cases based on difficulty finding proof. The tech market is comprised of a winner takes all marketplace.
